EEO-1 Reporting due date for 2018

I have been looking everywhere to see if the date is still September 30th and all I can find is stuff for last years reporting deadline and all the extensions.  I am planning for Sept. 30th but just wondered if anyone else knew anything different.  Thanks!

  • I received a letter on 1/22/18 giving me our company number, the website, and how to get my password for online filing for my 2017 reporting.  It was due on or before March 31, 2018.  In the past I did file on or before September 30th, but I think they might have changed the filing deadline last year since we really couldn't file a complete report on 2018 in September since personnel changes occur until 12/31.  I would love to hear if anyone else received such a letter indicating a change of filing deadline like I did this year.

In 2016, I received my letter dated 8/1/16 and I had a filing deadline of 9/30/16 so something changed last year.

Great minds must think alike! I was researching this topic as well to be sure the deadline wasn't Sept. 30. Per the article below, the deadline this year will be March 31, 2019, but with no anticipated extension.

As for the letter with the EEO-1 website info, I receive one every year as well. I received my letter earlier this year in January instead of September. I would guess that the letters will go out around that time frame next year too, given the change to the deadline.

  • I was so worried about this change in filing deadline that I called the EEOC and that is when they said they changed the filing deadline so they could get a full year's reporting for the last quarter of each year.  It would have been nice if they would have sent a letter or something to advise us of the change in the EEO-1 filing deadline.  Or maybe they did and I somehow missed that communication.
